thursday tv preview - 2/2/12

Posted on 06:54 by Unknown

Greetings, TV fans. It's Thursday, which means another evening of some fabulously funny comedy.

Note: I didn't get 30 Rock reviews posted last week, and there will not be one this week. This doesn't mean I love the show any less, I just ran out of time and had to prioritize. Because my writing is in a critical spot right now, I will probably only review one of the shows  for the next few weeks. (Gotta write that book!)

Second note: I am going on a short vacation beginning today, and because I cannot guarantee I will be able to watch and review Parks and Recreation in time to do tomorrow's review, my friend will do the review for me. Katie is fantastic, and I hope you'll return tomorrow to read her thoughts on tonight's show...

... which looks like a good one.

Tonight's episode, Operation Ann, will take a quick departure from the the campaign-focused episodes we have seen the past two weeks. In the Valentine's Day episode, Leslie will try to find her BFF Ann a date for a dance. As we all know, when Leslie puts her mind to it, things can get pretty ridiculous fast.

Rumor has it we might see Ann find some sort of relationship after all, but who? There's a lot of speculation out there, but we'll have to wait and see for sure.

And in the previews for this episode, it looks like the newly and unhappily single Chris will DJ the aforementioned dance, where he'll let off some of that sadness. Depressed Chris cracks me up, so this should be fun.

Here's a quick sample Hulu that shows both of these arcs:

For fans of Ron Swanson and Ben Wyatt, tonight's episode should be gold. Leslie sends Ben on a Valentine's Day scavenger hunt, and according to the preview, he asks for Ron's help to solve it.

Check it:

Ever since Ron asked Leslie "Is there a non-gay way to ask him to go camping with me," I've wanted to see him and Ben get more face time. I hope it's as epic and hilarious as it sounds.

With that, happy TV watching friends, and feel free to share you thoughts and comments about tonight's episode.
